In the event of a tie, a free throw shootout will be conducted. Each team chooses a player to shoot a free throw. First team to make it when the other does not, wins. The shooter may be subbed out at any time.
Two full timeouts per half per team.
Team fouls and individual fouls will be kept with players fouling out when they get 5 individual fouls.
Free throws must start at the original FT line but may jump over but prior to the line in front.
Admission for regular season games will be $1 for students, $2 for adults, and children not in school will be granted free admission. For regular season games, there will be a $5 cap per family.
HCCSC Staff Members will be granted free admission with their school ID.
Our 5th grade basketball teams will be competing in the HCCSC County Tournament. Game times are shown in the table below. This is a single elimination tournament so once a team loses, they are done for the season. The winning team will earn the traveling trophy that will include a plaque with their schools name on it and championship t-shirts.
Remember that during the tournament, playing time is determined by coaches discretion. Teams are going to play to win; therefore, players are not guaranteed any playing time like they were during the regular season games.
Rent-a-Duck will be taking place during halftime of each game. Fans can rent ducks for $2 that they try to throw into a moving wagon. A duck is pulled from the wagon and the winner receives half the money collected while the other half is donated to United Way.
The games leading up to the championship will be played at Roanoke Elementary. Doors open at 5 pm; enter door 4. The championship games will be played at Huntington North High School on Thursday, November 21. Doors open at 6 pm; enter door 28.
